to Your Numbers.
Start Leading With Them
Anuvaidha Consulting's FP&A practice transforms your organization's relationship with its own financial data. We help you move from reactive reporting to proactive planning building the analytical frameworks, forecasting models, and strategic financial plans that give your leadership team clarity on where the business stands today and where it is heading tomorrow.
The Reality For Most Finance Functions
Your Finance Team Is Busy. But Is It Strategic?
Producing last month's numbers faster is not the same as knowing where next quarter is heading.
Across industries, we find the same pattern: finance teams that are technically capable, genuinely hardworking and almost entirely consumed by backward-looking activities. Budgets built once a year and abandoned within 90 days. Forecasts that lag reality by two weeks. Scenario analysis conducted once, in a crisis, on a spreadsheet that no one trusts. This is not a talent problem. It is a process and capability problem. And here is how it typically manifests:
- Annual budgets are built in isolation from strategic reality consuming weeks of management time to produce a document that is already outdated by the time it is approved
- Forecasting is treated as a once-a-quarter exercise rather than a continuous, real-time management tool leaving leadership flying blind between formal update cycles
- Financial models live in individually maintained Excel files with inconsistent assumptions, no version control, and terrifying dependency on whoever built them
- Scenario modelling if it happens at all is a one-off exercise done during a crisis, rather than a standing capability that informs every major business decision
- Cash flow visibility extends only 4–6 weeks forward, making it impossible to plan working capital, investment timing, or covenant management with any confidence
- The finance team spends 80% of its time compiling and formatting data and only 20% (at best) actually analysing and communicating the insights that data contains
- Senior leadership makes major strategic decisions pricing, headcount, capital allocation, market entry with limited quantitative analysis of the financial consequences.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
At Anuvaidha Consulting, we move organizations beyond fragmented spreadsheets into a Unified Planning Environment. Our framework bridges the gap between granular operational data and high-level financial strategy, ensuring that every “What-If” scenario is backed by consistent data integrity.
Variance Analysis and Built in Financial Intelligence
The core advantage of our approach is the elimination of data silos. By utilizing a single, centralized database for Budgets, Forecasts, and Actuals, we ensure:
- Deep Variance Analysis: Compare performance against plans across any dimension without the need for manual data exports or complex reconciliations.
- Built-in Financial Intelligence: Our models can be configured with double-entry accounting logic, ensuring that any P&L adjustment automatically flows through to the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
High-Volume Granularity (The Analytic Hub)
Unlike traditional planning tools that struggle with large datasets, our solutions leverage an advanced analytic engine to process millions of rows of data with precision.
- Operational-to-Financial Mapping: Link SKU-level sales, employee-grade payroll, or logistics-level costs directly to your financial outcomes.
- Driver-Based Accuracy: Build complex models based on physical drivers (units, hours, headcount) rather than just simple monetary percentages, leading to more defensible forecasts.
Dynamic Rolling Forecasts & Predictive Modeling
We empower finance teams to shift from “Historical Reporting” to “Forward-Looking Guidance.” Incorporate historical trends and statistical modeling to identify outliers and suggest “Best-Case/Worst-Case” outcomes based on data patterns.
Collaborative Workflow & Governance
Planning is a collaborative process. Our frameworks provide the structure needed for organization-wide participation while maintaining strict control. Business team members can enter data into standardized, pre-validated templates, supported by automated workflows for approvals and a full audit trail.
From Fragmented Spreadsheets to an Integrated Finance Intelligence System
We do not just upgrade your models. We upgrade how your entire finance function thinks about the future.
Our FP&A engagements follow a proven build-and-embed methodology designed to move fast, transfer knowledge deeply, and leave your organization with capabilities that sustain themselves long after our engagement concludes.
01
FP&A Maturity Assessment
We begin by conducting a structured assessment of your current FP&A capability across five dimensions: planning process design, forecasting methodology, model architecture, analytical output quality, and leadership engagement. This gives us a precise baseline and a clear map of where the highest-value improvements lie.
02
Capability Design & Prioritization
Based on the assessment, we co-design a prioritized FP&A transformation roadmap with your team identifying which capabilities to build first (typically those with the highest immediate business impact), in what sequence, and to what level of sophistication given your organization’s current stage and resources.
03
Model Architecture & Build
We design and build the core financial models integrated planning model, rolling forecast engine, scenario framework, cash flow model from the ground up, with clean architecture, documented assumptions, and sufficient flexibility to handle the business complexity your organization actually faces.
04
Process Design & Governance
Great models are only as effective as the processes around them. We design the end-to-end FP&A process: planning calendar, forecast cadence, assumption governance, data input workflow, review meetings, and escalation protocols so that the FP&A cycle runs as a disciplined, repeatable process rather than an ad hoc scramble.
05
Training, Handover & Embedding
We train your finance team to operate every model and process we build ensuring they fully understand not just how to use it, but why it is designed the way it is. We run the first 1–2 full planning cycles alongside your team before formally handing over, so the transition is seamless and confidence is complete.
06
Ongoing Advisory & Model Evolution
For clients who want continued senior support, we offer a retained FP&A advisory arrangement providing quarterly model updates, annual planning facilitation, ad hoc scenario modelling support, and a standing sounding board for the CFO or Finance Director on any significant financial decision that would benefit from analytical rigour.
The Anuvaidha Value Proposition
Turning Complexity into Clarity” Most organizations spend the majority of their time collecting data rather than analyzing it. Our FP&A implementations leverage high-performance processing engines to automate the data-collection layer, freeing your finance team to spend their time on strategic analysis and decision support. We don’t just implement a system; we build a “Strategic Nerve Center” for your business.

The Difference Between a Model Builder and a Strategic Finance Partner.
Anyone can build a spreadsheet. We build the analytical intelligence that drives better business decisions.
Business-First, Not Finance-First
Our FP&A models are built around how your business actually works your revenue drivers, your cost structure, your operational rhythm not a generic template. Every model we build reflects the specific commercial logic of your organization, making it genuinely useful to the people who run the business, not just to the people who build it.
Partner-Led, Always
Every FP&A engagement is personally led by one of our founding partners. Your models, your planning process, and your analytical outputs are reviewed and quality-assured at senior level not built by a junior analyst and signed off without scrutiny.
Integrated Across the Three Statements
We build models that are genuinely integrated where every operational assumption flows correctly through P&L to Balance Sheet to Cash Flow. This sounds obvious. In practice, the majority of financial models in use across businesses are not truly integrated, creating systematic blind spots in cash and balance sheet planning that only surface in a crisis.
Built to Be Used, Not Admired
The models we build are designed for real-world use by real finance teams with clear layouts, documented assumptions, validation checks, and the structural robustness to survive a new hire updating it on a Monday morning. We have seen too many beautifully complex models that nobody uses because nobody understands them.
Capability Transfer, Not Dependency
Our goal is to make your team more capable not to create a long-term dependency on us. Every model we build is handed over with full documentation, thorough training, and a transition period where we work alongside your team until they are completely self-sufficient.
Sector-Informed Analysis
Our FP&A work is enriched by cross-sector experience in insurance, banking, corporate groups, and fast-growing enterprises. We bring benchmarking intelligence, sector-specific modelling conventions, and an understanding of what ‘good’ looks like in your industry not just in finance theory.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How long does a typical FP&A engagement take?
It depends on the scope and starting point. A focused engagement for example, building an integrated budgeting model and planning process for a single-entity business typically takes 6–10 weeks from kickoff to handover. A more comprehensive FP&A transformation for a multi-entity group covering planning, rolling forecast, scenario modelling, and cash flow typically runs 12–20 weeks including parallel run and embedding. We will always scope the engagement in detail before it begins and provide a clear project timeline.
We already have a finance team. Can they work alongside you, or will this displace them?
Working alongside your team is not just possible it is our preferred model. Our most successful engagements are ones where we are embedded with the internal finance team, not operating in parallel to it. We bring the specialist FP&A design expertise and the dedicated time that internal teams rarely have; your team brings the business knowledge, the relationships, and the continuity. The combination produces better outcomes than either could achieve alone and results in genuine capability transfer to your team, not a dependency on us.
Our business model is complex and doesn't fit standard financial model templates. Can you handle that?
This is exactly the type of work we do best. Standard financial model templates work for standard businesses and most businesses are not standard. We have built models for insurance carriers with complex product mix and actuarial inputs, for multi-sided marketplaces with non-linear revenue dynamics, for project-based businesses with lumpy revenue recognition, and for multi-currency corporate groups with intercompany complexity. If your business model is genuinely complex, that is a reason to call us sooner, not later.
We are preparing for a fundraise or bank refinancing. Can you help with investor or lender financial models?
Absolutely and this is one of the highest-impact applications of our FP&A work. Investors and lenders evaluate management teams as much as financial projections, and the quality, clarity, and defensibility of your financial model is a direct signal of your team’s credibility. We build investor-grade and lender-grade financial models with full assumption documentation, scenario analysis, covenant sensitivity analysis, and supporting narrative and we can prepare your team to present and defend the model in investor and bank meetings.
Can you help us with one specific element for example, just the cash flow model rather than a full FP&A engagement?
Yes, and we work this way regularly. Our three service areas Strategic Planning & Budgeting, Forecasting & Scenario Modelling, and Cash Flow Management can each be engaged independently. Some clients start with a cash flow model because that is the most urgent need, then expand into scenario modelling three months later. Others need a one-off scenario model for a specific board decision, with no broader scope. We design engagements around what you actually need, not around a minimum scope requirement.
